*Ancestral Prayer Beads
Ancestry Work can be experienced in many ways including visually, energetically, and creatively. This Workshop will focus on the Creative connection. Mala(prayer) beads have been used as a means of prayer and devotion by many different religions including: Buddhism, Catholic, Islam, and Hindu to name a few. As we string the beads together we will focus on creating with intention and purpose. As we touch each bead, we will weave our ancestors into our prayers by asking for their guidance as well as paying homage to them. Each participant will get to choose from one of 2 beads upon registering. 1) Black Obsidian: Black Obsidian: Obsidian is protective and grounding, linking one’s root chakra to the Earth. It is volcanic glass without a crystalline structure, and its power knows no depths or limitations. Obsidian’s surface is reflective and can offer deep insight into oneself, making it perfect for shadow work. When calling upon the ancestors, Obsidian will create a safe place in which you can do your work. As a shamanic stone, it opens up pathways for you to safely explore the spiritual realm, gaining wisdom and knowledge from those who have passed on. 2) Bloodstone: Bloodstone is a stone of courage and wisdom, noble sacrifice and altruistic character. It stimulates the urge toward Christ consciousness within the self and helps bring one’s true spirituality into everyday life in a grounded and real way. It is also a stone of mysticism, providing insights and the spiritual intuition of truths which transcend ordinary understanding. Bloodstone grounds and protects the soul on many levels, heightening intuition, dispelling mental confusion, and keeping out negativity and undesirable entities. Because its colors can change in different lights, it is regarded as a shape-shifting stone, teaching one to travel invisibly between the worlds and negotiate different realms. One of its most important uses has been to gain admittance to the spiritual realms of the ancestors for healing the ancestral line. By dispelling negative patterns it allows one to live in the present untrammeled by the past
*Toltec Dreamers Cacao Ceremony .
Drink in the milk of the mother, the original cacao recipe created for the Aztecs Gods many moons ago in the pyramids of Teotihuacan. Under the light of the moon under the influnce of this Toltec dreamers sweet recipe we will open our hearts to call our ancestors forward to dream. Through shamanic drumming and singing we will invoke the spirit of our ancestors to guide us through this sacred time in our lives and on the planet.
*Shamanic Journey
Join us to journey the same way as the Toltec shamans by entraining to the rhythms of drums, rattles, and music by using the breath. Much like traveling to sacred places this practice can be used to enter altered states of consciousness and connect to our ancestors.
