Dia de Los Muertos 1.jpg

Join Stephanie Urbina Jones and  Jeremy Pajer of Freedom Folk and Soul along with Jennifer Harvard of Gaia Sisterhood for this Dia De Los Muertos - Day of the Dead sacred ceremony, creation and communion to honor the lives of those who have come before. During this powerful time of year when the veil between the material world and the world of spirit is thin, our ancestors can be called on to guide us, celebrate with us, and be remembered. Through sacred ceremony, ritual, journey, and creating we will travel through these powerful experiences with our ancestors.

Rituals and Creation

Sacred Journey Cacao Ceremony :

Drink the milk of the Mother, the original cacao recipe created for the Aztec Gods many moons ago in the pyramid of Teotihuacan. Under the light of the moon, under the influence of this Toltec dreamer's sweet recipe we will open our hearts to call our ancestors forward to dream. Through Shamanic drumming and singing we will invoke the spirit of our ancestors to guide us through this sacred time in our lives and on the planet.

Ancestral Blessing Wreath Making:

In the Celtic Tradition just as in the Mexican Tradition, we recognize the time  when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. In the wheel of the year, Samhain as it’s called, falls between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. This is a potent time of magic and transformation.  Handmade Wreaths have long been prescribed by folklore as talisman to protect our homes. In this workshop we will thoughtfully  chose flowers and herbs for protection and abundance for the darker days ahead while honor the cycles of life and death

Toltec Sacred Journey Breathwork to the Underworld :

The Shamanic Journey is the art of using rhythm and intention to enter an altered state of consciousness in order to connect with the spiritual dimension of reality. On this Journey we will travel to the Underworld to connect with an Ancestor and gain insight and understanding. This ancient Spiritual practice can help heal ancestral wounds both past and present and inspire a sense of connection beyond the physical world.

Gaia Sisterhood Cancellation Policy:

Life happens and occasionally attendees find themselves needing to cancel. While I will make every attempt to fill your space, my retreats have moving parts that require advance investment from me such as the purchase of food or deposits on space. Due to these things I have adopted the following policy for clarity on cancellations.

All events are fully refundable up to 30 days in advance with the exception of the Wise Women Retreat. The Wise Women Full Moon Retreat requires a 60 day notice of cancellation.  Any cancellations for the WWFM Retreat under 60 days prior to the event are eligible for a credit toward another Gaia Sisterhood event. Cancellations within 30 days prior to any event forfeit all payments.
